HD Radio™ Technology Standard on 2015 Legacy

Subaru announced at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show that the 2015 Legacy will offer HD Radio Technology as a standard feature.  The Legacy will be the third Subaru vehicle to offer HD Radio technology as a standard feature along with the BRZ and WRX.  The 2015 Subaru Legacy is expected to arrive at dealers during the summer of 2014.

The following HD Radio features will be available; Digital Sound, Program Info, HD2/HD3, iTunes® Tagging, Bookmark, and Artist Experience®.

HD Radio™ Technology Standard on the 2015 Hyundai Genesis

At the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Hyundai unveiled the all-new Hyundai Genesis that will come standard with HD Radio Technology.  The Genesis becomes the fourth Hyundai vehicle to include HD Radio Technology as a standard feature along with the Azera, Equus, and Santa Fe.  The 2015 Genesis will include the latest HD Radio audio feature, Artist Experience®, allowing listeners the ability to view artist cover art and station logos on their display.

A lot of HD™ Radio Listening

With an annual growth rate of over 150% in 2013, digital radio listening to stations brodcasting using HD Radio Technology in cars has exceeded 3 billion hours.  This a result of the explosive growth of the installed base of HD Radio receivers in cars, both factory installed and aftermarket.

Coming off of the recent announcements at the 2013 LA Auto Show, Honda announced that the 2014 Honda Civic will be their first vehicle offering HD Radio delivered audio and subscription-free real-time traffic services.  Honda selected HD Radio Technology, HERE, and the Broadcast Traffic Consortium (BTC) to provide the real-time traffic services.
