David McDavid Automotive Group To Offer HD Digital Radio Technology; Only Dealer Group In Texas Providing This Service

David McDavid and HD Radio®

The Alliance and David McDavid are a new model for partnership between local radio stations and their automotive car dealership customers. Ideally radio stations and car dealerships, who are likely already marketing partners, will use this kind of promotion to drive car and HD Radio sales and awareness, and give consumers a chance to discover HD Radio in their newly purchased car.

DALLAS, Texas July 16, 2007
– The David McDavid Automotive Group has joined forces with the HD Digital Radio Alliance, a joint initiative of leading broadcasters to accelerate consumer adoption of HD Digital Radio, to now offer HD Digital Radio technology at all of its dealership locations in Texas.

The David McDavid Automotive Group is currently the only dealership group in Texas to make HD Radio technology available, and with this new addition, McDavid customers will now have the option to enjoy a higher-quality AM/FM radio system that features more channel choices, crystal-clear sound and new data services.

Across the country, more than 1,300 AM and FM stations are broadcasting using HD Radio technology. These channels feature new music and news formats, showcase young artists and local bands, air non-English language programming, and more. HD Radio broadcasting offers vastly superior sound: AM sounds like FM stereo; FM is CD-like quality.

Additionally, HD Radio broadcasters offer such valuable information as song title and artist, traffic and weather updates, news, school closings and other emergency alerts. This information appears on the HD Radio receivers’ display screen, providing McDavid buyers with an even more informed and enjoyable driving experience. Moreover, with the purchase of an HD Radio receiver from David McDavid Automotive Group, all of this new programming, information, and more, is free, as there are no monthly subscription fees.

“Not only are we extremely honored, but also very excited to be the first and only dealer group in Texas to offer HD Radio receivers to our customers,” said Tom McCollum, the CEO of David McDavid Automotive Group. “It’s always been the mission of the David McDavid Auto Group to provide our customers with the absolute best in service, quality and value. And by offering HD Radio receivers on-site, we now have the ability to supply our customers with the latest in digital technology to enhance their driving experience.”

“The David McDavid Automotive Group is showing incredible innovation and leadership by offering HD Radio at all their dealerships”, said Peter Ferrara, President and CEO of the HD Digital Radio Alliance. “With hundreds of new, exciting and free HD Radio stations on the air, this is a huge value they are providing their customers. We are very pleased to have the David McDavid dealerships as our partners.”

More than 1,300 radio stations currently broadcast in HD, with over 600 offering HD2 multicasts, giving consumers crystal clear digital sound and more choices, with no subscription fee. Information about receiver availability, a station guide and more can be found at www.hdradio.com.
