Land Rover Takes HD Radio™ Technology Off-Road

New HD Radio Option for Luxury SUVs Drives State-of-the-Art,
In-Vehicle Entertainment Experience

Land RoverMahwah, N.J. – April 8, 2008 – Land Rover today announced that it will make available to its U.S. customers factory-installed HD Radio™ technology across the entire 2010 model year Land Rover product line. Owners of the luxurious SUVs will have access to cutting-edge AM/FM HD Radio audio systems featuring innovative new content and formats, essential data services and crystal-clear sound. In New York alone there are 27 HD Radio stations offering 23 all-new digital multicast channels. HD Radio technology will be integrated into the factory-installed audio systems that already feature options for satellite radio, CD and MP3 player connections.

"Land Rover customers expect their vehicles to be the most capable luxury SUVs in the world, both in terms of what they can do on the road, and the experience they offer inside the cabin," said Chris Marchand, executive vice president, marketing and sales, Land Rover North America. "Certainly integrating HD Radio technology into our audio systems will add to the enjoyment our customers experience driving their Land Rovers."

HD Radio technology is the most significant advance in radio broadcasting since the advent of FM. Available to 84 percent of Americans, nearly 2,000 HD Radio stations are already on the air with 1,000 new FM multicast channels (HD2/HD3) that are exclusive to HD Radio listeners – all subscription free. These channels feature digitally delivered new music and fresh formats, some of which showcase All Live and Acoustic, Southern Rock or Pride niche content.
