the collaboration fills another void: youth involvement in radio.
Former WMNF Station Manager
WMNF Community Radio saw an opportunity to give greater life and exposure to a larger audience potential to a student run, low-power AM university station (Bulls Radio). WMNF worked with the team at Bulls Radio to setup a lease for WMNF’s HD2 channel that would allow them to extend their reach past their AM signal and now be exposed to the entire market.
This collaboration has given USF students the real exposure of an FM station that reaches the entire market, while re-energizing students about radio broadcasting. Some students have even gone on to pass their Society of Broadcast Engineers test. Working with Bulls Radio has also given WMNF a great success case that can be shared with other Universities in the area.
