On the celebration of the National Day of Dominican Broadcasting, the directors of the Dominican Association of Broadcasters (ADORA) carried out different activities and events with authorities, broadcasting experts and colleagues from the media and the press.
On Friday morning, July 22, the Panel “New trends and technologies for radio: the evolution in the habits of today's radio listeners” took place, organized by the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications - INDOTEL.

The event was opened by the President of INDOTEL, Nelson Arroyo, and the President of AIR, Eugenio Sosa Mendoza, and the event was closed by the President of ADORA, Rosa Olga Medrano.

The panel of experts was made up of Alvaro Nadal, from INDOTEL, Fabian Zamarron, from Xperi Corporation, Juan Antonio Quezada Cepeda, General Director of the OGTIC and Juan Andrés Lerena, General Director of AIR.

The panel discussed the changes in the consumption habits of radio listeners and how new technologies such as HD Radio can help stations offer more content, reaching new audiences through their multicast channels without changing of frequency. Likewise, the opportunity offered by the digital technology to generate new income is considered very important to help the radio sector to get ahead in the difficult times that we have experienced after the pandemic.
