The Mexican Association of Broadcasters Technicians (AMITRA) celebrated its 46th International Congress in Acapulco, Mexico between Aug 17 and 19. This event brings together engineers and technical responsible of broadcasters who have the opportunity to attend specialized workshops led by experts and suppliers.

As every year, Xperi was one of the sponsors of the event and had a commanding presence, showcasing its broadcast technologies: HD Radio, DTS AutoStage, AIM, and RAPID.

Xperi’s Jorge Chávez and Fabián Zamarrón, who lead business development in Mexico and LATAM, spoke about new technologies and the latest trends in the radio industry. Their discussion focused on how the different technologies developed by Xperi are helping radio stations worldwide to be competitive in facing digital platforms in car dashboards.

Jorge and Fabian shared with the audience how the DTS AutoStage entertainment platform for the connected car solidifies radio as the medium of choice in the car dashboard, offering vehicle occupants a fantastic user experience.

The audience reacted positively to the introduction of the DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal. This analytics tool can serve as a guide to understanding the interactions between radio stations and the users, what the listeners are listening and help broadcasters to create targeted advertising campaigns according to the location of the users.
